Saint-Andiol is a pleasant Provençal village in the Bouches-du-Rhône, on the Durance plain south of Avignon. Linked to Jean Moulin’s childhood and crossed by the old Route Nationale 7, it makes a warm base between the Alpilles and the Luberon.
Saint-Andiol sits in the north of the Bouches-du-Rhône (Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur), on the fertile Durance plain a short way south of Avignon. Crossed by the famous Route Nationale 7, the village is closely tied to Jean Moulin, who spent his childhood here: the Musée Jean Moulin “Souvenir de mon pays” and a large mural commemorate that link. In the centre you will find the fortified church of Saint-Vincent (historic monument) with its Gothic ciborium, the Romanesque Chapelle Sainte-Croix and the château with its spacious wooded park. Around it: orchards and classic Provençal countryside; the western gateway to the Luberon and the Alpilles are close by. A calm, rural base for villa guests combining Avignon, the Luberon and Provence.
