More about Bédarrides

Bédarrides is a beautiful village in the French region of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur and is known for its winemaking and regular wine tastings. There are also several historic sights in the village, such as the Roman bridge over the river Ouvèze, one of the oldest sights in Bédarrides. The bridge dates from the 1st century AD and was an important link between the towns of Orange and Vaison-la-Romaine. The bridge is still in use and is a fine example of Roman architecture.

The 12th-century church of Saint-Pierre is another important historic sight in Bédarrides. The church is built in the Romanesque style and has a beautiful facade with colourful mosaics. Inside there are also fine frescoes.

The old mill in Bédarrides is another interesting sight. It was built in the 18th century and is now a museum where you can see how the old mills worked. There are also demonstrations of grinding grain and baking bread.

There are also beautiful natural areas nearby, such as the Dentelles de Montmirail and Mont Ventoux at 25 km, which are well worth a visit. Bédarrides is an ideal place for anyone looking for a mix of history, nature and food experiences.
