Mormoiron lies in Ventoux Sud (Vaucluse), between Carpentras and the Gorges de la Nesque. Vineyards, orchards and roads to Villes-sur-Auzon and Blauvac: a warm, active base below Mont Ventoux for cycling and walking.
Mormoiron is a small, charming village between Mont Ventoux and the Vaucluse plateau. The village lives mainly from winemaking: the Côtes du Ventoux.
The Lac de Mormoiron, better known as the Lac des Salettes, is a man-made lake with a beach where you can swim and fish. There is also a treetop adventure course at "Ventoux Aventure". On the edge of the lake, the restaurant "La Cahute" has a shady terrace.
Things to see: the chapel of Notre-Dame des Anges (16th century), the fossil museum, medieval remains and the Museum of Archaeology and Palaeontology.
Every Tuesday Mormoiron holds a large Provençal market, and on Sundays a local craft market.
Mormoiron also has a few shops: a bakery, a small supermarket, a hairdresser, a pharmacy, a café and a pizzeria in the centre.
Nearby towns and villages are Mazan at 6 km, Villes-sur-Auzon at 6 km and Bédoin at 7 km.
