Rasteau is a village in the Vaucluse département in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, at an altitude of 200 metres. Despite having 'only' around 800 inhabitants, Rasteau lies in one of the most important wine areas, dating from the 18th century and known mainly for its Vins Doux Naturels.
While exploring the village and its surroundings, visitors can discover historic remains and medieval architectural treasures that reflect Rasteau's rich heritage, such as the Romanesque church on top of the hill and the ruins of the bishop's castle.
