Faucon is a charming village in Provence, in the Vaucluse département. It lies in the landscape of the Haut-Vaucluse, near Mont Ventoux and the Dentelles de Montmirail.

A small village with views of Mont Ventoux

North of Mont Ventoux, among the vineyards of the Vaisonnais, lies Faucon. This small medieval village is built on a hill and looks out over the valley and the imposing north face of Mont Ventoux.

Faucon has kept its authentic character well. Around the Place des Tilleuls you walk past the old church and through narrow streets to the former fortifications. At the medieval arch on the Rue du Belvédère, a beautiful view over the vineyards and the Ventoux awaits.

Several walking routes run through the vineyards and countryside around the village. Wine lovers are well served too: Faucon lies in the heart of the wine area around Vaison-la-Romaine, with several wine estates nearby.

Faucon is also a pleasant base for exploring the north side of Mont Ventoux. Vaison-la-Romaine, Puyméras, Entrechaux, Malaucène and the Gorges du Toulourenc are all within reach.
