Saint-Didier is a lively Provençal village in the Vaucluse, in the Comtat Venaissin between Carpentras and the Monts de Vaucluse. Along Le Cours with plane trees, shops and a Monday market, with Le Beaucet, Venasque and Carpentras nearby.
Saint-Didier sits in the Vaucluse (Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur), in the Communauté d'agglomération Ventoux-Comtat-Venaissin, in the Comtat Venaissin between Carpentras and the Monts de Vaucluse. Village life centres on Le Cours, a straight avenue of plane trees with shops and services; a Provençal market takes place on Monday mornings. At the heart of the village, the 1685 fountain (historic monument) is fed by an underground dry-stone gallery from the La Guinguette spring on the road to Le Beaucet. The church with its porch and the Château de Thézan (once a seigneurial residence, later a hydrotherapy establishment; park reopened to visitors since 2022) mark the centre. The Chemin des Oratoires follows one of the largest oratory ensembles in the Vaucluse through vines, olive trees and cherry orchards. Le Beaucet, Venasque, La Roque-sur-Pernes, Pernes-les-Fontaines and Carpentras are close by. A warm rural base for villa guests combining Comtat, villages and Provence.
